I am attracted to locations that can be found on the outskirts of our culture, and on the fringes of our personal geographies. Places that are visited by few, but have come to possess the evidence of many. I gather this evidence with the rational lens of the camera, and repurpose these scraps to create new histories of my own design. It is primarily through the decontextualizing nature of photography that I am able to achieve the results I desire. Through the process of editing and combining groups of images, I am able to recontextualize these places and objects to fit my constructed narratives.
