My work deals with the tension between authenticity and artifice, coherence and nonsense, desire and denial in contemporary life.

Working in the genres of portraiture, landscape and still life, my work attempts to thwart viewers’ expectations of each, leaving the viewer without a clear sense of logical grounding.
