Instincts and convictions is a collection of photographs presenting a line of existential questioning that relies on the subconscious to provide visual drive. The work presents a stream of consciousness revealing the everyday, in all its inglorious routine, as an experience of the sublime. These photographs look at what lies before and after; quiet non-events analyzed in all their stillness. The photographs I choose for this series are sometimes allegorical in nature, combine a number of themes and motifs evoking the language of dreams and are taken from the fabric that is woven in the space between landscape, portrait and still life.
