The Hierophanies project constitutes an intellectual and empirical approach to the work of the Romanian philosopher Mircea Eliade, who coined this term to refer to an awareness on nature of the existence of the sacred. In this sense, this photographic series involves the capture of images in landscapes closely related to various religious traditions. These images lack both human presence as traces of it, and convey an aura of mystery and silence that seeks to engage the viewer in a reflection on the role played by nature in our understanding of religion.
