Windows/New hope
The windows of the accommodation are very colorful, in contrast to other buildings in Hannover. For me, a window is an opening that lets light, sounds, and air through it. For people, a window can also mean hope for a better life. At the same time, it is a symbol of something boundless, but it can also be an invisible border. The view goes through the window into another world, into a new future, but I cannot walk through the window. It is a barrier. My work is about windows of the refugee camp in Hannover. It’s about the visibility and invisibility of boundlessness and borders.
