For years, America has been the main subject of my work as a photographer. And Paris is the place where I live. Sometimes, I take pictures of ‘my’ city, building up slowly a collection on the side. It’s a strange process. I could spend months without taking any shots, then get back to it under a weird compulsion. It’s hard to tell who I am when I take photographs of Paris. I feel neither like a Parisian nor like a stranger. These pictures show everyday items in the cityscape. Some of these stills are not that still. They are kind of brought to life thanks to the light or the colors thanks to the way their shapes live with the surroundings or the wind. They look like urban ready-mades to me.
