In 2010, when the death of Line occurred, I gained access to her archives which had up until then remained hidden: objects, letters, photos. They went on to become the source of my project.
Since then, I’ve been interested in the construction of the ruins of a familial and personal history — following the traces of memory that I reinvent from found images and my own. I’m slowly building a monument to a history that doesn’t belong to me, that is fleeting and that erases itself as I attempt to build it.
