My photographic series “L’entaille” is the result of a compromise between nature and humankind, between fiction and reality as it appears to me. It bears witness to the pervasive ambivalence in my photographic approach, calling for a journey in a primitive nature, where man confronts his human condition.
This project explores our relationship with memory and unreal time through a visual dialogue between archival images from my grandfather and my own, thus creating a connection between past and present. Through a dreamlike aesthetic and an exploration of temporal layers and family memory, “L’entaille” invites the viewer on an odyssey into a world where reality and imagination intertwine.
